She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace O'Dell DuVall and Harriett Turner Duvall; and her son Stephen Gray Nichols. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Paul Hooper Nichols III (Sharon) of Washington, DC, Jimmy Nichols (Heather) of Dunwoody, GA and Harriett Allgood (Sonny) of Toccoa, GA; her grandchildren, Emily, Jim, Elia, Alex, Paul, Mary Margaret and Allyson; and her caregivers, Sheryl Dowdell, Maria Malimba and Brad Bauer. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
