We are sad to announce that on July 2, 2022, at the age of 89, Loy Purdy Jr. of Toccoa, Georgia, born in Stephens, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Purdy, Sr. and Kitty E. Grist Purdy; and his sisters, Sarah O. Purdy and Marcellene Purdy Keller. He is survived by: his wife Grace Miles Purdy; his children, Anita Grace Purdy Poole and Daniel Loy Purdy (Becky Collette Purdy) of Benicia, CA; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Pfeiffer (Joshua Justin) and Samuel Loy Purdy (Jaclyn Laurene); his great grandchildren, Owen Jude Pfeiffer of Benicia, CA, Olivia Mae Pfeiffer of Benicia, CA and Scarlett Laurene Purdy of Benicia, CA; his sister Mattie Lillian Purdy Holland of Toccoa; and his brother-in-law Harold Smith (Anne) of Whitsett, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
