She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. LaCount, Sr. and Elvie Brock LaCount; her son James Thomas Payne; and her siblings, Robert LaCount, Jr. and Shirley Weeks.
She is survived by: her son John Payne, Jr. of Toccoa; her grandchildren, Dawson Payne of Toccoa, Brian Payne of Toccoa and Jordan Wilson of Toccoa; her siblings, Louise Lathan of Toccoa, Rachel Sikes of Florida and Lewis; and her sister-in-law Sara LaCount of Toccoa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
