It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Woody (Toccoa, Georgia), who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Pearl Woody and Edna Branham Woody; and his siblings, Jack Woody, Mike Woody, Alice Faye Hendrix and Thelma Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Christine (Wolfie Hughes), Tamara (T. Allen), Jeri Carson (Traci Dean) of Toccoa and Brian; his daughter-in-law Alisha Scott of Athens; and his siblings, Gary Woody of Biloxi, Larry Woody of Toccoa, Donald Woody of Toccoa, Bill Woody of Carnesville, Lois Certain of Carnesville and Kathy Ray of Carnesville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577).
