He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Tynt" McCroskey and Lovenia Crowe McCroskey; and his siblings, Edward McCroskey, Joyce Smith and Carolyn Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy McCroskey of Toccoa, Stacy, Leslie McCroskey of Hiawassee and Angela Higginbotham (Carter Gower) of Gainesville; the mother of his children Teresa Y. McCroskey of Tococa; his grandchildren, Madi Loudermilk (Steven), Skyeler Higginbotham and Jack McCroskey; his great grandchildren, SJ, Mason and Tessa; and his brothers, Charles McCroskey (Sylvia) of Toccoa, Kenneth McCroskey of Toccoa and Harold McCroskey of Toccoa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
