It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Elese Hare Holbrooks of Toccoa, Georgia, who passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Arklus Hare and Margie Cooper Hare; her husband Edgar Asbury Holbrooks; her daughter Judy Diane Holbrooks Slocum; her sister Elizabeth Benfield; and her great great grandchild Stephen Case Pless.
She is survived by: her children, Elese Holbrooks Rose (Mike) and Larry Holbrooks; her son-in-law Roger Slocum; her grandchildren, Melissa Rose Pless (Stephen), Nicholas Holbrooks, Clay Slocum (Anna) and Curt Slocum; her great grandchildren, Dalton Pless (LeeAnna), Luke Holbrooks, Abby and Avery Slocum; her great great grandchildren, Bowen and Chloe Pless; and her sister Velma Carswell.
Memorials may be made to Rock Creek Baptist Church, 3729 Rock Creek Road, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Jeanette Elese Hare Holbrooks.
