He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Esslinger and Margaret "Maggie" Sullivan of Marietta, Georgia; his wife Julie Maddox Esslinger; his grandchildren, Mary Crawford, Davis and Abby; his children, Jill Palmer and Jay Palmer; his sister Jan Parrish of Marietta; his sister-in-law Sarah Esslinger of Clarkesville; and also, Jeffery, Dana Esslinger of Cartersville, Greg and Anne Marie Esslinger of Atlanta, Georgia. He was also cherished by twin sons.
