He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramsay Doyle and Margaret Jarrett Jones (Peggy); his siblings, Jean Jones Childs and Jack Jones; and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Childs and Fred Northcutt.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith Jones; his son Jabez Ramsay Jones (Cassandra Vaughn Jones); his grandson Shannon Cole Jones (Katy Pieve); and his sister Margaret Ann Northcutt. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
