He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjaman Anthony and Ellen May Markle Rhoades; his son Chuck Rhoades; and his siblings, Alice, Dorothy, Harold and Frank.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Green Rhoades; his sister Barbara Hughes of Toccoa; his children, Bernie L. (Laurie Rhoades), Don (Greta Rhoades), Leonard (Tammy Soncrant) and Raye Lynn; his children-in-law, Bill Oldham and Glenda Rhoades; his niece Sandra; and his nephews, Barry Maher and Michael Hughes.
