It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Edward Hemphill of Toccoa, Georgia, born in Franklin, Georgia, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Jackson and Bernice Segars Hemphill; his grandparents, Henry Jackson, Ellis Fulbright Hemphill, George S. and Elizabeth Martin Segars; his wife Ruth Adele Boyette Hemphill; and his siblings, Mildred Hemphill Pruitt, Inez Hemphill Payne, Maurice Jackson Hemphill and Roger Lester Hemphill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Adele (Sammy Lyles) and Nancy (Clint Lentini); his grandson Heath Alexander Lyles of Toccoa, Georgia; his sisters, Jean Hemphill Worthy of Hiawasee and Joan Hemphill Agnew of Toccoa, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Sara Watkins Hemphill of Toccoa, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
