He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hayes and Margaret Ramsey Whitfield. He is survived by: his siblings, Sallie E. Taylor, Martha Joe Gray (George), Laura Royal, Robert Lipkin, Charlene Echols (Nate), Darlene Rivers (Junior), Christina Brown and Trenace Richie (Roy); his wife Sheena Hayes; and his children, Quintina Stowers of Seneca, SC, Deidra Hayes of Athens, Calandra Williams of Charlotte, NC, Akira Williams of Atlanta, Kristie Bolemen of Sandy Springs, Felicia Lester of Dallas and Dorian Lester of Toccoa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
