He is survived by: his wife Betty Hayworth Purcell; his daughter Gail Gipson of Toccoa; his sister Dorsey Lee Purcell Davis of Eastanollee; his niece Lynn (Bill Blalock); and his nephews, Roger Whitmire and Jimmy Whitmire (Kari).
