He is survived by: his son Jeff Simpson of Athens, Georgia; his son-in-law Ray Hamilton of Lavonia, Georgia; his grandchildren, Caroline Hamilton and Cole Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Carter Hamilton, Abaigail Hamilton and Hadley Hamilton; his siblings, Russell Simpson of Martin, Georgia, Brenda (Roy Mans) and Teresa Ann Simpson (Wanda Simpson); and his sister-in-law Delores Simpson of Toccoa.
