He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh John Simpson and Ruby Lee Palmer Simpson; his daughter Kimberly Hope Simpson Hamilton; and his siblings, Harrison Hugh Simpson and Judy Richardson.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Simpson of Athens, Georgia; his son-in-law Ray Hamilton of Lavonia, Georgia; his grandchildren, Caroline Hamilton and Cole Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Carter Hamilton, Abaigail Hamilton and Hadley Hamilton; his siblings, Russell Simpson of Martin, Georgia, Brenda (Roy Mans) and Teresa Ann Simpson (Wanda Simpson); and his sister-in-law Delores Simpson of Toccoa.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home (90 S Pond St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Toccoa Assembly of God, 696 Rothell Road, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 to be used for Operation Christmas Child in memory of Mr. Grady Douglas Simpson.
