He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Purcell and Marie Holcomb Purcell; his children, Shoan Marie Weaver and Anthony Dale Purcell; his grandson Tanner Purcell; and his siblings, Mary Hampton, Agnes Brown, Edna Bell, Clarence and Terrell Purcell.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Keller Purcell; his son Brent Allen Purcell (Debbie); his children-in-law, Larry Weaver of Murrayville and Connie Purcell of Carnesville; his grandchildren, Wesley Hughes, Dustin Purcell, Christopher Purcell of Toccoa, Alex Purcell, Justin, Matthew Gosnell of Carnesville, April Cleveland and Shannon Beebe of Toccoa; and his sisters, Helen Taylor of Marietta, GA, Nancy Watson of Mansfield, GA, Ruby Ferguson of Dawsonville, GA and Joyce Collins of Toccoa, GA. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
