He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence O. Rider; his wife Ora Lee Ward Rider; and his siblings, Jessie Long, John Rider, Joe Rider, Victorene Long and Sara Howard.
He is survived by: his parent Martha Spencer Rider; his daughters, Nancy Rider Killingworth (Ray) of Cartersville and Georgia; his granddaughter Heather McClain White of Woodruff; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Davis McCraw and Marley Kate McCraw of Woodruff. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
