He was predeceased by: his father William Harvey Simpson; and his siblings, Doyle Simpson, Troy Simpson, Lela Kell and Dorothy Ambrose.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Jimmy Deal of Cornelia; his son Dan Simpson of Toccoa; his grandchildren, Heather, Tim Pitts, Bryant, Kaylee Simpson and Ethan Simpson; his great grandchild Ava Simpson; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Greg Webb, Brian Deal, Daniel Mathis and Aubree Davison; and his sister Frances Stephens of Toccoa.
