He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Russell Carter and Theresa Kirby Carter; and his wife Dolores Sorrow Carter. He is survived by: his children, Cale Russell Carter (Amanda), Sherry Coan (Edward) and Crystal Robin Goodwin (Russell Godwin); his brother Kirby Carter (Connie); his grandchildren, Melissa King (Kyle), Cory Casteel, Brice Curtis, Sydney Fricks (Logan), Courtney Fricks, Caleb Russell Carter, Caroline Carter, Nikki Ferguson (Rick), Erin Coan and Brandon Coan (Julie); and his great grandchildren, Kailee, Charlie Joe and Erin.
