He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Oliver and Mary Frances Haynie Shaw; his wife Patsy; his daughters, Cindy (Gary Matthews), Cathy (Robert Thornton) and Cheryl (Chip Henderson); his grandchildren, Drew, Emily Matthews, Ben, Hannah Matthews, Mollie, Sean Payne, Jake, Alyssa Thornton, Cassie Henderson and Carlie Henderson; his great grandchildren, Avie Matthews, Gus Matthews, Knox Payne, Duke Payne, Stella Kate Payne, Shaw Thornton and Sutton Thornton; his sister Mary Elizabeth Blakeney; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Kehler and Elaine Alewine Martin.
