He was predeceased by: his parent Benny Shirley; his daughter Ramona Shirley; and his siblings, Catherine Payne, Janie Sue Shirley, Benny Shirley of Jr, J. B, Zeb Shirley, Buddy Shirley, Robert Shirley, Bobby Shirley and Jack Shirley.
He is survived by: his parent Mattie Holmes Shirley; his wife Robbie Caudell Shirley; his daughters, Sylvia Murphy, Kenny Carter of Toccoa, Lola Dixon and Lloyd Singleton of Toccoa; and his sisters, Clifford Kimsey and Jean Long. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
