It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Inez O'Neal Rousey (Tignall, Georgia), born in Dallas, Georgia, who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Ellis Rousey; her parents, Joseph Edward O'Neal and Ida Bell Haney O'Neal; her son Charles Edward Rousey; and her siblings, Bud O'Neal, Carl O'Neal, Mary Frances Maner, Lewis O'Neal, Ovaline Rakestraw, Louise Mayfield and Willie T. Mayfield.
She is survived by: her children, James Wendell Rousey of Tignall and Clara Bell Tate of Tignall; her sisters, Mae Echols of Tignall and Rachel Dobson of Marietta; her grandchildren, David Tate, April Canter (Chuck), Brian Rousey (Danielle), Robbie Rousey (Amanda), Ashley Rousey and Julie Williams (Jack); her great grandchildren, Megan Hester (Emmanuel), Brittany, Dylan Canter, Caitlin, Danielle Tate, Ashton, Carter, Reagan, Brooklyn, Kennedy Rousey, Lane Starrett and Emma Williams; and her great great grandchildren, Matson, Zach, AJ Hester and RJ Carrithers. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to Tabor Baptist Church Building Fund.
