It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Saxon Sisson of Tignall, Georgia, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isham Saxon and Mary Gill Saxon; her husband Carl E. Sisson, Sr.; and her grandson Christopher Lee McAvoy. She is survived by: her children, Gloria S. Wheatley (Tommy) of Rayle and Carl E. Sisson, Jr. (Vickie) of Washington; her sister-in-law Annis Saxon of Hodges, SC; her grandson Richard Allen McAvoy (Lisa) of Rayle; and her great grandchildren, Taylor McAvoy and Amy McAvoy of Dahlonega.
Because Mrs. Sisson was a cancer survivor, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a local cancer related fund.
