He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boyce Fortson and Susie Inez Stamey Fortson; his wife Margaret B. Fortson of Tignall; his son Adam Fortson (Meghan); his sisters, Barbara F. McAvoy (Barry) and Joyce F. Sifre; his grandchildren, Adam Fortson, Jr., Edee Fortson and Everlee Fortson; and his brother Larry Fortson.
