He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boyce H. Fortson and Susie Inez Stamey Fortson; his wife Vivian K. Fortson of Tignall; and his siblings, Lonnie Fortson (Margaret) of Tignall, Barbara F. McAvoy (Barry) of Tignall and Joyce F. Sifre of Tignall. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews and great nieces.
