With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Poss of Tignall, Georgia, born in Lincolnton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James W. may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James W. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Emma Onelia Roberson Poss; and his sisters, Elizabeth Carver (James) and Mary Riggs (Edgar). He is survived by: his wife Elane Norman Poss; his daughter Jennifer Poss Henderson (Lee); his grandchildren, Allen Jameson "AJ" Henderson (Kylie) and Gracie Elizabeth Henderson; his brother Robert Poss (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Agnes Thurmond, Grace Norman and Tony Norman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
