He was predeceased by: his parent Shelton Butler; his former wives, Emma Louise Osley Butler and Faye Harris Smith; and his brother Harold Butler. He is survived by: his parent Annie Lou Smith Butler; his children, Herbert Larry Butler of Tignall and Connie B. Danner (Bobby); his sisters, Mary B. Brown and Doris Wheeless; his grandchildren, Wade Danner (Cheryl), Michael Danner (Kim) and Lara Hogan (Jamie); and his stepgrandchildren, Donna Mackie, Freddie Rowe (Dawn) and Missy Sweet (John).
