We bid farewell to Thomas Malcolm Matthews of Tiger, Georgia, born in Gainesville, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2024 at the age of 87. Thomas Malcolm touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Matthews and Elsa Martin Matthews; and his brother Jerry Matthews. He is survived by: his sisters, Amanda Houston (Bruce) and Jennifer Napolitan; his sister-in-law Shirley Matthews; his sons, Mike (Karen) and Bart (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Ben, Caitlin Matthews and Ann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Alta Vista Cemetery (521 Jones St, Gainesville, GA 30501).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rabun County (Georgia) Chapter of Trout Unlimited or to the Athens Y Camp in Tallulah Falls, Georgia.
