He is survived by: his sister-in-law Joan Davis; his children, Jonathan Richard Smith (Kim) of Toccoa, GA and Dianne Smith Rice (Tim) of Acworth, GA.; his grandchildren, Angela Dianne Dye (James), Jonathan Michael Smith (Kelly), Alyssa Veith Palermo (Neil), Matthew Timothy Rice (Heather), Melissa Erleen Harlan (Brent), Kathryn Anne White (Jason) and Christin Patsy Rice; and his great grandchildren, Kamdyn Mae Ford, Dylan Michael White, Jackson Neil Palermo, Elliana Grace Dye, Kyla Rose Palermo, Austin Joseph White, Adelaide Olivia Harlan, Ansley Novelle Rice, Madelyn Faith Dye, Lucas Flint and Eric Brix Harlan.
