He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Edward Sissel Jr. and Mary Alice Pierson; and his brother John Sissel. He is survived by: his wife Rita Sissel; his stepdaughter Mary Hawthorn Thwaite; his sister Deb Trainor; and his grandchildren, Emily Hawthorne Thwaite, Hayden Lawson and Lindsey Hawthrone Thwaite.
