She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Blalock and Estele Flynn Blalock; her husband Earl Simmons Jr.; and her siblings, Richard Blalock, Jerry Blalock and Ruth McClain.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane Simmons Tomlin (Steve) of Rabun Gap; her sisters, Nancy Terry of Duluth and Margie Gragg of Clayton, Georgia; and her friend Elaine Porter of Clarksville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 Eighth Avenue 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
