He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan Ivern Butler and Lucille Nunnery Butler; his brother John Butler; his daughter-in-law Tracy Maloney; and his grandson James York.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Warren Butler; his children, Jennifer Butler, Jessica Butler (Stephen), Tammy Jones (Mark), Tommy Maloney (Kippi) and Todd Maloney; his sister Cathy Cody (Jerry); his grandchildren, Lanie Prather, Mikayla Mathis, Haley Smith, Stephen Mauck, Devon Mauck, Delilah Mauck, Joseph Mauck, Bailey Maloney, Riley Maloney, Ashley Griffin (Will), Jordan Pollard (Dwight), Ezra Jones, Thomas Maloney and Ashton Maloney; and his great grandchildren, Reid, Emma, Adler, Avery and Clara.
