It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Carpenter of Tiger, Georgia, born in Macon, North Carolina, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Mason and Margaret Vinson Mason; her husband Fred Carpenter; her children, Jim Carpenter and Marie Carter; her son-in-law Grover Webb Jr.; and her siblings, Lula Mason, Francis Miller, Albert Mason, Stover Mason and Bob Mason.
She is survived by: her children, Thurman Carpenter (Kathy) of Helen and Dorothy Webb of Tiger; her children-in-law, Paulette Carpenter of Lakemont and Calvin Carter of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Lynn McGahee (Jim) of Glennville, Darrell Webb (Karen Parker) of Lawrenceville, Lee Carpenter of Lakemont, Russell Carpenter of Hollywood, Daniel Carter (Julie) of Dillard and Charlie Webb (Fran) of Tiger. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Church of the Mountains, (Wiley Church of God).
