He was predeceased by: his parents, William Homer Wood and Margaret Shook Wood Wilson; his sister Barbara Ann Wood; his stepfather Eddie L. Wilson; and his aunt Louise Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Scruggs Wood; his children, Sabrona Watts (Kyle), Kerri Woods (Jason) and Kim Wood; his grandchildren, Jess Watts (Kennedy), Anna Belle Williams (Isaac), Zahrah, Zenja, Zaychn, Zeva and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Luke, Grady, Norra, Jack, Wyllow, Isabelle and Millie; and his brothers, Bruce Wood (Maxine) of Blue Ridge, Burch, Brady Wood of Newport Tennessee and Barry Wood (Sandra) of Tiger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
