He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pitts and Winnie Pitts; his brother-in-law Jack Perrin; and his father-in-law Vaughn Cromer. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cromer Pitts; his son Derek Pitts; his daughters-in-law, Brooke of Cumming and Molly of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Caroline, Layton, Laina and Kaia Pitts; his siblings, Marian Perrin of Waterloo and Wayne; his sisters-in-law, Wendy of Boone and Lynda Tompkins of Moultrie; and his mother-in-law Rudine Cromer of Tifton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and his brother.
