She was predeceased by: her husband Bronzal Franklin Dixon, Sr.; her son Bronzal Franklin Dixon, Jr.; her granddaughter Danielle Dixon Flanders; her parents, Levy Goff and Rebecca Capps Goff; and her siblings, June Goff, David Goff and Morris Goff.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa (Ron Myers), Judy (Michael Rodriguez) and Kristy (Dewayne Franks); her grandchildren, Tim Whittington, Kyle Whittington, Rebecca Marshall, Jimmi King, Jonas Gardner, Trevor Gardner, Claire Franks, Rachel Franks and Drue Dixon; and her siblings, Joyce Holton and Johnny M. Goff.

Before Alzheimer's disease altered the course of her life, Sylvia was known for her hard work and dedication.
