She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son William Austin McLain, Jr.; her parents, Edward Carlton Scarborough and Louise Hay Scarborough; her siblings, Lamar Scarborough, Millard Scarborough and Carol Barnes; her son Bryan McLain; her daughter-in-law Carmen McLain; her grandchildren, Carley McLain Benson, Chris and Bailey McLain; her brother Ed Scarborough; her brother-in-law Rev. Ernest Barnes; her stepgranddaughter Skylar Futch of Tifton; her brother Don; her sister-in-law Karen McLain; and also Sophie. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, and her son.
She was a proud member of Northside Baptist Church and actively volunteered with Meals on Wheels and as an Elections Volunteer before the challenges posed by Covid-19.
