It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Chalfant of Tifton, Georgia, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on October 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Chalfant and Anne Ikins Chalfant; his son David Richard Chalfant; and his siblings, David Chalfant and Joyce Cook.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie McCulloch Chalfant of Tifton; his daughters, Nancy Jo Chalfant of Tifton and Barbara Anne; and his son-in-law David Swack of Athens.
