It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Elwood Carter of Tifton, Georgia, born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy L. Carter Jr. and Ella Mae Hiers Carter. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Moorman Carter of Tifton, GA; his daughters, Stacy (Andy Ring), Kim (Sal Abate) and Kay (Gary Lupo); his siblings, Bruce Carter of Statesboro, GA, Randy (Belinda Carter) and Carolyn; his brother-in-law D. L. Lastinger of Tifton, GA; his grandchildren, Morgan Ring, Britney Barfield, Alli, Wesley Hodnett, Garritt Lupo, Kaylee Lupo, Brooklyn Abate and Ella Abate; and his great grandchild Oakley Ring. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be mailed to Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
