He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Young; and his son James Willis "Will" Cox, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Beth Pope Young of Tifton; his children, Hannah Young of Tifton, Alicia Cox of Tifton and Richard Young of Broxton; his siblings, Donald Young and Janet Young; his nieces, Crystal Bostick of Wray, GA and Edith Evans of Arkansas; his grandchildren, Alyssa Davis (Andrew) of Broxton and Lawson Young of Douglas; and his great grandchild Paisley Davis of Broxton.
