She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Whitley and Mollie Sirmans Whitley; her son Phil Goodman; her siblings, Forrest Whitley, Evelyn Sturgis and Audrey Sumner; and her husband Richard Minthorn.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Goodman Dees of Tifton, David (Mary Goodman) and Mark Goodman of Valdosta; her siblings, James Oswald Whitley of Fitzgerald, Dal-Jean Whitley of Charleston, Betty Pollard of Lakeland and Lyndia (Glenn Pierce); her grandchildren, Jennifer Dees Brown, Sabrina Dees Griffin (Chris), Lisa Goodman Givens (John Derrick), Nicole Goodman, Lance Collins and Samantha Goodman Donahue (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Cayson Brown, Carter Brown, Cohen Griffin, Emma-James Griffin, Aubree Givens, Jace Givens and Luke Collins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 precautions, a private graveside funeral service and burial will be held for Mrs. Minthorn for the immediate family.
