She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry D. Miller and Janie Mae Whitley Miller; and her husband John Harper. She is survived by: her son Cecil Spires (Wanda); her granddaughter Wendy Handley (Tim); and her sister Pearlie Mae Gaither. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
