He is survived by: his wife Anne Maddox Hobby of Tifton; his children, Scott Lawson (Carson Hobby), John Henry III (Rachel Maddox) and Kimberly; his son-in-law Chip Hyman of Monroe; his brothers, Billy Hobby of Rebecca and Wayne Hobby of Ashburn; and his grandchildren, Chandler Hyman, Emily Hyman, Mackie Hobby, Henry Hobby, Zoë Maddox and Poppy Maddox.
