A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eastside Baptist Church (1490 Kennedy Rd, Tifton, GA 31794). A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

“I am at a total loss. Laurie was my mama. She was closer to me than my biological mother. She was there for me during my darkest times and I truly credit her with saving my life. Never have i ever been so close to one person. It was so amazing to see her faith. She never stopped praising the Lord even when she was in so much pain. I always felt like I was closer to the Lord when i was around her. It was as if you could just feel His presence around her. I miss you mama and I love you. -Jenn”
