With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Powell Parker of Tifton, Georgia, born in Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Pinckney Powell and Emmie Louishes Walton Powell; and her siblings, John Walton Powell, Mary Elizabeth Jordan (Bowdre), Charles Pickney Powell Jr. (Helen), Forrest Arnold Powell (Irene), Theron Luther Powell (Mary), Gwendolyn Litten (Bob), Emmie Lou Siletto (Jim) and Jesse Gordon Powell (Beverly).
She is survived by: her husband Earl Stanley Parker Sr.; her children, Gwen Nelson, Jann Thomas (Bill Haag), Amy Parker and Stan Parker (Nina); her grandchildren, Jason Nelson, Declen Parker, Eason Parker, Dylan Haag (Holly Beth) and Camryn Haag; and her great grandchild Mackenzie Haag. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Reddick-Mott Scholarship Fund at ABAC.
