He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Warren Johnson and Lucille Marchant Johnson; his wife Jeannette Brinson Johnson; and his siblings, Charles Johnson and Laverne Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph F. "Joey" Johnson, Jr. of Tifton, Kim Johnson of Tifton and Venisha Buckley of Tifton; his grandchildren, Justin Sheppard (Heather Baker), Heather (Lon Barfield), Rob (Danielle Buckley), Ross Buckley (Ryan) and Abby Buckley; and also, Buck Buckley, Brayden Barfield, Landon Sheppard, Riley Buckley and Hattie Buckley.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
