He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nelson Goff and Lula Bell Arnold Goff; and his son John Anthony Goff. He is survived by: his sister Mavis Turner of Alapaha; and his grandchildren, John Ashley Goff and Jennifer Puckett. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
