John Rufus Evans Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Rufus Evans (Tifton, Georgia), who passed away on December 24, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Marcus Harris Evans, Sr.; his wife Peggy Jean Parks Evans; his daughter Julie Stidham; and his brother James Madison Evans. He is survived by: his daughter Diane; his son-in-law Derry Hewett of TyTy; his son Marcus; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Evans of Omega; his brother Marcus Harris Evans, Jr. of Texas; and his grandchildren, Miga Batten, Suzanne Bradshaw, Sarah Marteen, Heather Hewett, Cari Gibson, Jason Evans and Justin Evans. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
