He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Sanderson and Mary Grace Nance Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Scott Sanderson; his children, Rebecca (Craig Moore) and James Robert "Bobby" Sanderson, II of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Emily Grace Scott, Clark Patrick Sanderson and C. J. Moore.
