He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Jackson Lyon and Jewel Lyon (Wilson). He is survived by: his spouse Robin Hewlitt; his sons, James "Brad" Lyon of Cumberland and David Lyon of Franklin, Connecticut.; and his siblings, Fred Lyon (Dianne) of Alapaha, Georgia, Athie Lyon of Ashburn and Mary Lyon of Sumner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
