He was predeceased by: his parents, Levosher Kilby and Greta Frady Kilby; and his brother Jerry Kilby. He is survived by: his wife Becky Grist Kilby of Tifton; his sons, James "Jamey" Michael Kilby, Jr. (Carly) of Tifton and Dr. Dustin Ross Kilby (Lindsey) of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Austin Scott Kilby, Brooks Ross Kilby, Bowen Dane Kilby, Micah Banks Kilby, Ella Kathryn Kilby and Paul May; his great grandchild Kayson James Kilby; his brothers, Wayne Kilby, Eddie (Elaine Kilby) and Donnie (Donna Kilby); his sister-in-law Merle Kilby; and also, Bobby Grist (Sharon), Reba Cockrell (Randy) and Rhonda Lunsford (Keith).
