He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Hobbs and Annie Mae Spicer Hobbs; his wife Vasti "Ty" Parrish Hobbs; and his siblings, Josephine Hobbs Bailey, Ruby Hobbs, Doris Cox Brewer, Lillie Mae Hobbs Sauls and A. J. Hobbs.
He is survived by: his daughters, Darlene (Brad Griffin), Angie (Heather Summer) and Gay (Travis Dailey); his sister Norma Francis of Baldwin, Florida; and his grandchildren, Brandon Griffin, Caroline Griffin Marlin (Tanner), Anthony Summer, Nicholas Summer, Sarah Summer, Trevor Dailey and Erin Dailey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
